More Than 500 Celebrate 2022 Rising Stars Winners
More than 500 people were on hand Tuesday for the Business Council of Westchester’s 2022 Rising Stars: 40 Under 40 Awards at Million Air at Westchester County Airport.
The event recognized the career accomplishments of Westchester County professionals in a broad spectrum of sectors from health care and law to financial services, the nonprofit sector and professional services.
“These exemplary leaders have distinguished themselves through their talent, determination, leadership, and commitment to the Westchester business community. As we celebrate their initiative and innovation, we continue to look to our Rising Stars for new ideas, methods, and devices that will ensure Westchester remains the leading business community that it is,” said BCW President and CEO Marsha Gordon at the beginning of the awards ceremony.
The cocktail reception at Million Air was the first in-person Rising Stars event since 2019. The ceremony began with a montage of the 2020 and 2021 winners who could not be recognized in person for the past two years due to the pandemic.
“This year’s nominees represent the very best and brightest of Westchester County’s up and coming young professionals across organizations and industries from healthcare to finance to technology to law and banking. We’re delighted to honor such an elite group,” said outgoing Rising Stars Chairman Joseph McCoy, Divisional Head Commercial Loans-Hudson Valley, Valley National Bank.
The Rising Stars program is modeled after the national business recognition program “40 under 40.” Rising Stars honorees were chosen based on professional and/or entrepreneurial accomplishments, professional and/or business affiliations, and demonstrated leadership skills.
