Sign Up for Changemakers Council: Middle & High School Girls

One World Girl is accepting applications for our Changemakers Council for the 2022-23 school year.

This is our signature program, FREE for middle and high school girls who participate in a year-long journey of learning and mentorship to build and utilize their leadership gifts in the community. The council has monthly mentoring meetings, a series of leadership workshops, creative experiences (programs with professional artists, Broadway empowerment days, artistic field trips) and community events where they mentor other girls and participate as teaching assistants, hosts and speakers.

Council members also share their story and use their voice, writing reflections and blogs, creating content for social media and developing a “Take Action” project, an individualized, issue-focused program, which gives them the opportunity to positively impact their community. “Take Action” projects focus on a societal challenge of each council member’s choosing and teaches them, with the support of an adult mentor, how to set and accomplish their goals by brainstorming, developing, organizing and implementing projects forward.

Applications due by Friday, September 16th with the first meeting in late September.
