Kids Summer Cooking Camps
These hands-on weeklong camps are an ideal way to inspire, excite, and get your kids cooking. Camps are 3 hours long and students learn knife skills, cooking techniques, gardening, choosing produce (they will pick fruits, veggies, and herbs from the garden), setting a table, and table etiquette. My goals are to help students cultivate confidence, creativity, and calm in the kitchen. After cooking, we will sit to share the meal together.
Classes are held in lower Westchester.
Class size is limited to 8.
Weekly camps are $495.00/per person, and include all food and equipment.
As a 26 year licensed culinary arts teacher, I know the importance of designing classes to intrinsically incorporate math, reading, critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity through the life skill of cooking, while having FUN!
Interested in your own pod? Camps can be booked for ages 5-17 with a minimum of 4. Email Melanie@melanieunderwood.com to inquire.
