Senior Living Community Celebrates Grand Opening in Downtown White Plains

Congratulations to BCW Member EPOCH Senior Living which celebrated on Wednesday the Grand Opening of BCW Member Waterstone of Westchester, an elegant boutique hotel-style community for seniors featuring 62+ independent living residences with best-in-class amenities and services. Waterstone of Westchester is the company’s first independent senior living community in New York State.

Attending the event with EPOCH Senior Living President and CEO Larry Gerber were White Plains Mayor Tom Roach, Westchester County Executive George Latimer, Westchester County Office of Economic Development Director Bridget Gibbons and County Legislator Ben Boykin. BCW Director of Membership Linda Tyler attended as well.

“We are delighted to celebrate the Grand Opening of Waterstone of Westchester. We are very pleased with the response we’ve seen from the community with so many families interested in our residences,” said Joanna Cormac Burt, COO of Epoch Senior Living. “Our location in downtown White Plains, with its fabulous restaurants, shops and cultural activities all within walking distance, is a perfect fit for our new community.”

Located on Bloomingdale Road, Waterstone of Westchester features 132 beautifully appointed residences and supportive services designed to provide seniors with independence, connection and socialization. Amenities include a movie theater, fitness center, indoor pool, lobby bar, art studio and salon. Services include chauffeured car service, garage parking and on-site concierge. Gourmet cuisine, which is served in a variety of on-site dining venues, is prepared by professional chefs who use locally sourced and seasonal ingredients. Residents also benefit with access to home care services through an on-site partnership with VNS Westchester that allows residents to receive the assistance they need to stay healthy and engaged.

Conveniently located across the street from Bloomingdale’s, Waterstone of Westchester is a short walk from fine stores and restaurants such as Whole Foods and The Cheesecake Factory. It is only two blocks away from The Westchester mall. It is also less than a mile from I-287 and less than two miles from the White Plains Metro-North Station.

Waterstone of Westchester is the latest best-in-class independent senior living community created by leaders in the field. EPOCH Senior Living is the owner/operator and National Development is the owner/developer. EPOCH Senior Living operates 15 senior living communities in the Northeast with one in development.
