TMB’s James P. McKenna Promoted to AVP, Marketing Officer
Tompkins Mahopac Bank (TMB) has announced the promotion of James P. McKenna to assistant vice president, marketing officer.
In his new role, McKenna will expand on his previous position as marketing officer, marketing communications business partner with TMB, including leading integrated marketing efforts for corporate campaigns and the growth of the Tompkins brand. Earlier, he held key marketing appointments at Sodexo USA, Liberty Travel and Naked Turtle Holding Company. In addition to his position with TMB, McKenna also is an adjunct instructor at Marist College’s School of Communications and the Arts, and a member of The Chamber Foundation – Hudson Valley’s Leadership Dutchess Class of 2017 and a Leadership Class of 2018 Mentor. He also is a member of the United Way of Dutchess-Orange Marketing Committee. “As an integral part of the Tompkins team, I’m delighted see James advance, professionally,” said Abby Peterson, marketing communications manager. “He embraces responsibility and performs tasks to an exceptional level, always with an eye on strategy and team empowerment for the best possible results, especially for our customers.” McKenna holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management with a Business Minor from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, and a Master of Arts in Integrated Marketing Communication from Marist College.
