The Business Council of Westchester’s Westchester Innovation Network marked an important milestone this week when Iona College students delivered business-support recommendations to Mount Vernon officials. On  Monday, students at Iona College’s Hynes Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation reported on how the City of Mount Vernon can improve its support minority- and women-owned businesses. Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. continues to grow its research efforts in immuno-oncology with the announcement on Wednesday of an agreement to acquire Checkmate Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company focused on proprietary technology to harness the power of the immune system to combat cancer.
