Joined by some 100 members and guests, the BCW’s Government Action Council hosted its 8th annual Westchester County Board of Legislators Reception on June 1 at the Cambria Hotel in downtown White Plains. BCW President and CEO Marsha Gordon opened the meeting citing the unique opportunity the informal off-site gathering provides. Congratulations to Robert Cioffi and Ugo Chiulli, co-founders of BCW Member Progressive Computing which recently celebrated its 30th Anniversary.  Cioffi and Chiulli, who were both raised in Yonkers, attended and graduated from both Gorton High School and Iona College. They became friends, and eventually informal business associates at Iona College during the technology revolution in the 1980s. Yonkers-based Progressive Computing started in 1993 as Robert and Ugo developed software programs for local businesses with open-source DOS. At that time, much of the servicing was “break-fix”-.
