Yankwitt LLP’s pro bono team secured the complete withdrawal of a perjury and defamation case brought against the Legal Services of the Hudson Valley (LSHV) by a landlord who had been adverse to LSHV’s tenant client. Following LSHV’s successful prevention of the tenant’s eviction, the landlord turned around and sued LSHV and its staff attorney based on unidentified statements LSHV purportedly made in that underlying proceeding. Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley (RMHGHV) recently announced their partnership with Cleancult Laundry detergent, a certified plastic neutral company headquartered in New York City. Cleancult, which was founded in 2017, donates laundry detergent each month that is used by families that stay overnight at the House or utilize the day program which allows them to do laundry free of charge while their child is in the hospital.
