Wartburg recently hosted its Salute to Nurses Reception in celebration of Nursing Week. Carmen Graham, LPN, a nurse in the Skilled Nursing division of Wartburg Senior Living and Healthcare, was surprised with the hospital’s first-ever international Daisy Award. The Daisy Award recognizes the skillful and compassionate care nurses provide. The award was established in memory of J. Patrick Barnes by his family after he died in 1999 due to complications of an auto-immune disease.
