William O’Shaughnessy, one of Westchester’s most colorful business leaders and owner of Westchester radio stations WVOX and WVIP, died at his home in Litchfield, Connecticut last Saturday. As the New York State Legislature ends its session this week, the BCW continues to urge its members to get in touch with their legislators and implore them to once again block passage of the New York Health Act. “This disastrous plan comes with a price tag of as much as $250,000,000 per year and will cost 161,000 jobs in New York,” said BCW Executive Vice President and COO John Ravitz. He urged BCW members to “contact legislators today and tell them to reject this job-eliminating legislation. They should be working to create and retain jobs instead of eliminating them.” […]

The BCW’s Westchester Innovation Network (WIN) initiative to propel innovation forward as the foundation for the future of economic growth in Westchester, has added three new partners that have been matched with local collaborators to test new products. Dr. Marsha Gordon has been the President/CEO of the Business Council of Westchester for over two decades and was recently named the third most powerful person in Westchester County by City and StateNY Magazine. Gordon is known largely for her continued success in shaping and growing the country’s diverse business landscape. The new WIN partners are Rainbow International Restoration of Westchester; Radish Health Inc.; and Kuponya Innovations.
