Thanks to the efforts of two Westchester businessmen, more than 7,000 masks and other personal protective equipment (PPE) were donated to police departments across Westchester. Statewide Abstract Director of Regional Sales Mark Okamoto worked with Richard Zhang, founder of Richbridge Capital LLC, the manager of Empire Suites in White Plains and Empire Apartments in New Rochelle, to secure the equipment. Elected officials in Washington will be voting TODAY on a new measure that would devote another $310 billion to the Paycheck Protection Program, an initiative created by last month’s Cares Act that was initially funded $349 billion but has since run dry. NEW YORK – Con Edison is drawing on the expertise of its workers in a Bronx machine shop to manufacture 40,000 face shields for Westchester County health-care workers who are treating coronavirus patients. The company today turned the first 6,000 plastic shields over to Westchester County Executive George Latimer and plans to make and donate the remaining shields by the end of the month.
