Congratulations to BCW Member Phelps Hospital in Sleepy Hollow on the completion of its new $8.4 million imaging suite which is expected to be operational in February. The 3,800-square-foot suite houses a scanner manufactured by Seimens Healthineers that simultaneously does Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Computerized Tomography Imaging (CT) imaging. Obtaining both PET and CT images previously required two separate sessions using two separate pieces of equipment. A total of 26 Westchester applicants were recipients of more than $15.8 million in Empire State Development grants awarded this week by the Mid-Hudson Regional Economic Development Council.
