Mid-Hudson Regional Economic Development Council Releases 2018 Progress Report

The Mid-Hudson Regional Economic Development Council has just released its 2018 Progress Report – entitled Growing Tomorrow, Building Today – which details the council’s achievements, goals and pathways for opportunity and economic growth moving forward.

The MHREDC has brought more than $560 million to the region through Rounds I through VII of the Regional Council process, supporting 693 projects. Of these projects, 89 percent are either complete or progressing, leveraging private dollars at a 7:1 ratio. Further, they are projected to create 6,721 permanent jobs and retain 13,610 permanent jobs.

“These achievements are a clear reflection of the incredible impact and value of the REDC process, and I am so proud and honored to have been asked by the Governor to serve on the council for the past seven years,” said Marsha Gordon, President and CEO of the Business Council of Westchester. “We continue to work hard to engage with our communities and identify transformational projects that align with our ‘Live, Work, Play’ strategy and that complement the state’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI).”
